sweetiefeetie Posted January 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2013 Cruising on Carnival Liberty on March 2nd with my girlfriend. We are landing on Fort Lauderdale and getting the shuttle to ship. Is there anywhere at the airport before we get the shuttle to buy a bottle or two of wine (our alloted bottle each) and some pop to take on board? Rare mizLORInj Posted January 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2013 Not at the airport but there are places between the airport and the port. A taxi would stop I'm sure. You can get more details if you post this on the Florida departures board! have fun. I liked Carnival Liberty!
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2013 You can not buy alcohol in the Ft Lauderdale airport. Unfortunately the shuttle bus will not make stops -- they go directly from the airport to the pier. Maybe you can cancel the shuttle bus? If so -- take a taxi to Total Wine or Publix -- both located in the Harbor Shops near the pier. One of you stay in the taxi while the other one goes into the shop. Bonnie J. Posted January 24, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2013 On the shuttle you must wait until it is full before you leave the airport. It will not stop. A taxi will take you right away and will stop for you. The airport is close to the port, not a long drive at all. Wine MUST be carried on. If you put it in a suitcase it will be removed and you won't get it back until the last night. Cancel the shuttle and take a cab!
chipq Posted January 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2013 Taxi is your best bet to make your stop along the way. It is not a long drive and may not cost much more than the shuttle. http://luv2cruise.blogspot.com
