ksimpso3 Posted January 25, 2013 #28 Share Posted January 25, 2013 I wasn't aware a blender was an option plan. I'll have to ask the concierge about that. Thanks! My husband will get a lot of use out of the coffee maker, but I won't. BDL We learned about the blender and ice here on CC! :)as well as all the mixers, juices, etc.
deburn Posted January 25, 2013 #29 Share Posted January 25, 2013 DOS is a deluxe owners suite. The dos and OS get three bottles of booze plus one champagne. Heard this is not on PoA. You will have a list when you get in your room to choose. You can ask for mixers then or any day. Some have said they ordered thru pre-concierge. Going to be in a SA suite on the Pride of America in Oct. does anyone know what the POA offers for drinks in there suites thanks
dexddd Posted January 26, 2013 #30 Share Posted January 26, 2013 Going to be in a SA suite on the Pride of America in Oct. does anyone know what the POA offers for drinks in there suites thanks I posted that as there was some information on CC about a year ago that NCL had stopped that offering on PoA for the top suites. You couldn't buy the bottles either like the other ships ahead of time. Maybe try a search. The other thing I can think of is that member "rokabutzer" (sp) went in January I think in a suite. Maybe he can answer.

grtwithntr Posted March 11, 2013 #33 Share Posted March 11, 2013 We were in garden villa on Dawn from 1/6/13-1/13/13. We got 6 bottles of liquor with our room. We picked 2 vodkas, 2 tequilas, a bottle of vermouth, and a bottle of kahlua. We asked for a blender and ice and our butler Mark brought us a cooler and kept it full of ice. We asked for margarita mix, strawberry mix (for daquiries and margaritas), orang So did you get the blender and margarita mix? I was wondering if those two things were available, might have to rethink the booze strategy...:D
Padwin12 Posted May 28, 2013 #34 Share Posted May 28, 2013 Spoke with NCL, was able to preorder rum (they have a list of beverages you can choose from) for a fee (not in a suite). Also allowing whatever non alcoholic drinks you can carry on board, juice, soda, etc. call and make sure it is available on your specific ship. psycomac Posted May 29, 2013 #36 Share Posted May 29, 2013 Would be interested in a breakdown from Breakaway passengers on each of the Haven and non-Haven suite categories with regard to what's included in the room package from people who have actually used it. Breakaway appears to be different in its inclusions and variations from other NCL ships so it would be nice to have some concrete lists from this new ship once more people have sailed her. Maybe people could post their cabin category and what they were given as inclusive for the room package with regard to alcohol and mixer/juice/milk/etc? psycomac Posted May 30, 2013 #38 Share Posted May 30, 2013 How do you order the drink package?(soda).....Is it only for suite guests? No, it's for everybody. Check the NCL website (I'm still new to NCL and not familiar with the ins and outs) or the dailies people have been posting from last week's Breakaway cruise...they have a basic one that includes just soda, an upgrade that is soda and juice and an alcohol package. There's certain restrictions on the passes, like everyone in the room has to have it, etc so your best bet is to check their website.
DMLyons Posted May 31, 2013 Author #39 Share Posted May 31, 2013 How do you order the drink package?(soda).....Is it only for suite guests? It's for everyone. You can order the basic soda package in the Bon Voyage section on NCL's site. I'm not sure you can order the soda/juice package there, though. Last time I checked, that was only available aboard. Oddly enough, I've seen they've added the UBC on the Bon Voyage but not the extended soda/juice option. What an odd thing to do! DML

DMLyons Posted May 31, 2013 Author #42 Share Posted May 31, 2013 You can bring your own drinks onboard? Wine, soda and water? Short answer...yes. Long answer... You have to pay the corkage on wine. $15 on a standard size bottle. $30 on a Magnum. NO boxed wine allowed. Wine is the only alcoholic drink you can bring aboard. You have unlimited amounts of water, juice, and soda you can bring aboard. You'll want to put it in a duffel bag or suitcase in some ports. Others allow you to tape a luggage tag to it and send it aboard that way. HOWEVER, some people have said they've had other passengers steal some of their soda/water if it's not in a piece of luggage. Corkage is charged on all bottles brought onboard and not purchased through NCL (Bon Voyage gifts, bottles from Travel Agents, etc come from NCL so no corkage there). DMLyons Posted June 1, 2013 Author #46 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Hot dogs & a box of wine would've been a great Bon Voyage gift!:D Honestly, I find it amusing that you can order wine as a Bon Voyage gift but cannot order a bucket of beer as one, unless you call the pre-concierge and arrange it with them. Not everyone is a wine drinker. ;) DML

Call them for your ship to verify. No need for that, it's ok on every ship if you carry it yourself. In some ports (like Tampa) the porters refuse to take the drinks even if they are put in duffel bags but in other places (like Miami) you can also check the drinks with you other luggage and not have to carry them yourself. I've only heard of a couple of ports that are like that, I agree. Some are really loose about it. Personally, I've asked about the port I'm leaving from specifically, and found that I could slap a tag on it and let it board with checked baggage (or in a duffel with checked baggage), but I still put it in a rolling suitcase. At least that way, I don't have to worry about anyone helping themselves to it, since it will be inside the bag. DML
