6 Day Exotic Eastern Caribbean Aboard the Carnival Breeze 1/13/2013

Tonight was our first formal night. My sister had late seating in the Blush and DH and I had YTD. We had gone to the Sapphire dining room the first day and asked to have the same dining. Ken, the maitre d' decided we should switch to the Blush. Since we had dinner in the steakhouse the first night this was our first experience in the Blush dining room.

I met my sister at the Piano Bar. This would become our nightly routine. Ron Pass began playing at 7:30 and we really enjoyed him and the waitstaff was excellent.

The biggest bottleneck I encountered was right before dinner. The crowd leaving the dining room and the new group entering. The stairway was crowded and so was the bathroom near the dining room.

I ordered the surf and turf, again and the lobster was very good. I couldn't believe that it was better than the steakhouse.

I really enjoyed hearing Ken sing and watching the waitstaff dance. I am really glad Ken was able to seat us in the Blush dining room.

After dinner we stopped at the Piano Bar and then on to the casino to make our nightly contribution.

My sister and me at dinner.

It was a wonderful day, next up is Grand Turk.

We woke up around 8 and decided to try the Punchliner Brunch since it started at 8:30. I think we arrived a little after 9. We got a table for 2 and we were presented with a whole basket of pastries. I ordered an omelet and so did DH. They were both very good. John Wesley Austin was the comedian. He was very funny in his short show. We decided we wanted to see him later that evening.

After breakfast we found my sister by the main pool and stayed there most of the day. I got my first Guy burger and fries. It lived up to its good reputation. We also watched the Red's Rum vs Blue's Tequila Challenge.

I too was on this cruise and had a fantastic time! Love the pics here, you managed to get my wife and family in them! My wife won the Mixology contest. The bunch up on the rail above are the group we sailed with. I was heading down the stairs to take pictures of her impending win! Great review!

We had breakfast on the Lido deck, found my sister and headed off the ship. We found a spot at Margaritaville and began our day in Grand Turk. We had wanted to do a tour of the Island but decided just to make it a beach day. We eventually walked down the beach towards Jack's. This is what we found our way.

A huge log.

A truck stuck in the sand

I hate to say this, but it was quite comical. A tractor tried to pull it out and then a backhoe was able to get it out of the sand. Many ropes were broken until they found a chain. The truck was dropping a boat off.

I tried to get a close up, not a good picture but you can see the trailer.

We finally made it to Jack's. We sat near some roll call members and watched the final effort to remove the truck. My DH took a video of Topher and of course a picture, here he is.

We had some Jerk Chicken and started back down the beach towards the ship.

We stopped at the Local Village Bar to rest and have and adult beverage. We also took a dip.

Janice, I love your details and pictures. Keep them coming. I can't get too much info on our cruise. It was lots of fun.

I really enjoyed reading your review. Your group did a lot more sightseeing then we did, maybe next time.

We went back to Margaritaville and then decided to head back to the ship. Thankfully there were no lines.

We went to deck 10 for sailaway and to watch the pier runners. It was quite comical.

I like this picture, wish the signs weren't in it.

We left and went to our cabin but you can see that people are still up in the front from this picture.

LOVED YOUR REVIEW. LOVED YOUR PICS. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THE FUN TIMES.

We sail on the breeze on Sept. 14.....looking forward to it

How did you like your Cove?

Thank you. We didn't have a cove, we had a spa cabin. Someone on our roll call had one and I said I would like to try it next time I sail on the Breeze.

I read that you got a cove balcony at the last minute. I think we may have to try one next time. I will be adding some thoughts of the ship.

How did you like your Cove?

Loving your review so far.. Thanks for taking me back there...

We did get a cove balcony... at 11:00 the day before sailing for Cove Cabin 2283.. Loved it so much considering booking it again in March... If you enjoy sitting out and getting sun, then a cove balcony is not for you. Because of the way it is, you get very little sun, if any at all, depending on what side of the ship you're on and the way the sun is shining that day!!! But if you enjoy just sitting out, reading a book, having a drink, eating breakfast or just looking out over the water, it was perfect, great, wonderful, relaxing... Did I mention how much we loved it !!!

Thanks for including details about the transportation. I've wondered about those type of delays and such. Now I'm glad I decided to book a private car. Sounds like the additional $30 will be well worth it.

Since it was just the 2 of us I decided to try it but if a private car is only $60, I think I would book it too.
