Smoking a cigar.

Where can you smoke a cigar on the Fantasy, is there a cigar Bar on the ship or did they do away with those?

Thanks!

I Googled Carnival Fantasy. Doesn't appear that they have a cigar bar. As to where you can smoke, go to Carnival's homepage and click on the "Life on Board" tab, then click on "F.A.Q." You'll find Carnival's smoking policies.

That's why I loved the Valor. I really enjoyed sitting in the "Paris Hot" lounge with Robert from our roll call sipping on Dow's 20 year and puffing on a fine cigar. By the way...Agus, the bartender there was top notch. I'm sorry to hear the Fantasy doesn't have such a venue. I did find it odd that they still called Winston's "Winston's Cigar Bar" on the Valor despite the venue being no smoking.

You can also smoke cigars on your balcony. Some of your neighbors might not like it though.

Don't think the Fantasy has balconies but you can smoke on the starboard side of outside deck. No cigar bar anymore. That really sucks. When we were on the Fantasy a couple years ago you could smoke cigars in the lounge near the rear of the ship. I do not believe you still can, however. Looks like it's the outside starboard side deck.

Here's the deal with Carnival and smoking-I smoke cigarettes and cigars (little girly cigars, but I'm a girl so I dont care) you can smoke outside on the

Fantasy class ships, outside means on the Lido deck on the starboard side. Which is much better than the larger ships like the Legend, where you can smoke in one bar (if it's open) and in one small area on the front of the ship on the Lido deck.

Enjoy your cigar- outside-at least you are on a cruise.:)

We enjoy our smokes on the Fantasy class ships, at the far back end of the starboard side, under the pizza vent. And DH and I both have to quit due to health reasons.:( So by the next cruise, we will be non smokers. We hope.:o

I saw that John Heald did Cigars Under the Stars on the Blogger cruise last week. They all smoked on the Serenity deck later in the night. He mentioned Something about this trying to go fleetwide.

That would be nice, as the Serenity deck closes to the revelers at 10 p.m.. I have yet to find Serenity while there.

My favorite place to light a cigar is the back rail of lido deck while leaving port, reflecting on the days adventures and enjoying a DOD. If the cigar is a Cuban, even better.

Always remember the CD debark talk about making sure to smoke 'em before you get back to port, and there would be a congregation of cuban cigar smokers around the funnel.

LOL. That's just silly. If you smoke cigars for the enjoyment and not for whatever the band says, all you have to do is take the band off. Take a traveling humidor with you or ask for a box with a non cuban label at the cigar store. It's not as if they test the cigar DNA through customs.

Yep that's me smuggle booze on the ship and cigar bands off.

I am sailing on the Valor on 3/3/13. I was told there was no longer smoking in the cigar bar? Can someone off recently verify this? Hubby will be thrilled if he has a place to smoke his cigars :)

I was just on the Valor. It's true that Winston's "Cigar Bar" is a no smoking area. However, the Paris Hot lounge (deck 5 aft) is cigar friendly. They actually have a decent but limited selection at somewhat reasonable prices, or you can bring your own of course. If you stop in there, say hi to Agus the bartender. He was awesome.

They're somewhere between a cigarette and a cigar....

Hubby smokes 'em. They frowned at him in the casino...a designated smoking area...cigarettes are okay, cigars and swishers are not...well, I take that back...some casino staff looked the other way, and others told him to put it out.

We're still unsure. Hopefully, he'll have quit by the time we cruise again.
