Using RRCL Visa points for a cruise???

We have the credit card for points. When i make final payment for our Feb 2014 cruise i will have 50,000 points enough for $500.00 off the cruise. How do i go about getting those points to the cruise balance?Do i have to do this before final payment? i read the details on the website but not sure about how to do this?

Can i apply the 50,000 when i get them all?

I'd call the redemption people at 888-305-4626 and confirm that you can apply points for a credit after final payment.

I believe that you can apply them after final payment and they will issue credit. However since your cruise is next year you have time to apply them before final payment

I also had 50k cruise points that I wanted to use for my next cruise. I called the redemption # and to my surprise, everything was very quick and easy and there was no issue at all applying the credit to my upcoming cruise. I hope you have the same experience.

If I understood the OP's dilemma, they would not have the points until the made final payment with the Visa card.

I just redeemed points for a companion fare on our upcoming Jewel cruise. Redemption desk said they would probably be applied before final payment, but if not, no issues as they will just issue a credit back to your card.

 

So yes, you can redeem them after final payment and you will receive a credit back on your card for the value of the points.

If you apply the reward AFTER final payment and get a credit that could result in your point balance being reduced to under the 50,000 points that you needed for the $500 off your cruise fare.
