Tomato53 Posted January 31, 2013 #26 Share Posted January 31, 2013 I've been watching your thread - glad you made it and let us know. We were delayed getting to San Juan a couple of years ago due to a blizzard in the northeast. (We had planned to arrive a day early and had to fly in on departure day). We boarded just in time to go directly to the muster drill. Never want to cut it that close again! Enjoy your cruise!

scanditaly Posted January 31, 2013 #28 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Even when we do everything by the book, life happens. Really happy for you that you can relax a bit now. Native Californian, but really love Madison. Cheers
Baatman Posted February 1, 2013 #29 Share Posted February 1, 2013 yes another lesson in flying in a day early Amen. We used to fly in the day of the cruise, but it is stories like this that convinced us to lay the extra $100 for a hotel the night before...sort of like trip insurance. Rare GeorgiaPeach51 Posted February 1, 2013 #30 Share Posted February 1, 2013 So sorry, living north of Atlanta, to know that Atlanta was the cause of a stressful beginning to your vacation. Glad to know all was well in the end... The storms were awful....terrible devastation in one area, and where I was, tornado warning sirens going off and loud announcements instructing people to "take cover immediately". As much as you wanted to be here, you really didn't want to be here, if you know what I mean! :)
