NJbeachMom Posted January 31, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2013 we are a family of 5 and I'm trying to plan a memory making family vaca before my son leaves for the Army. We've cruised before usually in two cabins, inside for my older kids... I get the aft balcony I just priced the family suite and family balcony...the suite is twice the price. I'm looking for any advice of RCCL cruisers..is the suite worth the extra $$$? Thanks
Rare noshoobie Posted January 31, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2013 I can't answer your question but........if I may make a suggestion. We cruised on the Allure in October and had two adjoining oceanview cabins. We are also a family of 5. I know it was cheaper than a suite and instead of the kids being across the hall we were next to each other with the door open (of course we shut it sometimes too). You can also have the attendant take the balcony divider out so you can connect your balconies. Plus there's the bonus of having 2 bathrooms. We made lots of great memories of our trip and hope you do too!
gerif Posted January 31, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2013 The suite would be awsome especially on that ship but without knowing the price difference, it's impossible to answer your question.
NJbeachMom Posted February 2, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted February 2, 2013 Grand suite is $11,600...balcony is $6600
Want2Cruise 701 Posted February 2, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2013 Grand suite is $11,600...balcony is $6600 I would take 2 balcony cabins and save the money. Spending the extra 5k isn't going to enhance your cruising experience. Put it towards another vacation. Just my opinion.
