Solstice Pools - Alaska Cruise

First Time PR

Recommended Posts

Hi, are any of the pools heated in the Solstice? We are on a 08/30/13 Alaska cruise and would like to know if we will be able to use any of the pools? thanks!!

Below is a picture of the wonderful Solarium pool that should serve your needs well for any colder days in sailing the Alaska coast.

You can check out my live/blog below for added info on the Solstice, its food, entertainment, facilities, etc. Let me know any other questions. Feel free to drop by the live/blog to post there as I will better about to catch any questions, needs or interests on that thread.

We are looking forward to our first “down under” visit, Jan. 20-Feb. 3, 2014, Celebrity Solstice sailing, departing Sydney, going from Australia to Auckland/NZ doing 14 days on this ship we loved in the Med in June 2011.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Did a June 7-19, 2011, Celebrity Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 118,400 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at:

The Solarium was one of our favorite areas. Food and drinks were nearby and it was very relaxed and sophisticated. Quieter, too, as it is an adults-only area. Two hot tubs here. Not crowded, especially in the evenings. Nice art and design with this facility. Wonderful setting for relaxing and watching the outside water/shore views, enjoying subtle inside action, etc.:

Thank you so much for that great information TLCOhio!!! I will check out your Solstice Review since i want to know as much as I can about the ship!! Feel free to share any "insider" tips you might have! LOL:)

Happy to share more!! But, much depends on what you like to do on a cruise, during your port stops, past cruising experiences, etc. Tell us more about your travel style and interests, etc.

Keep these good questions rolling along!! Lots of great ideas and people are here on these boards and they are happy to help. Don't be shy!! The only "dumb" question is the one you don't ask. Keep researching and planning. It will be very helpful for when you do your actual trip and that experience.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio
