kingoftheicedragons Posted February 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2013 We will be on Carnival Sunshine this October when Europe switches over from Central European Summer Time to Central European Time. Will the ship also switch over at the same time, or will the ship stay on CEST?
Rare John Bull Posted February 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2013 We will be on Carnival Sunshine this October when Europe switches over from Central European Summer Time to Central European Time. Will the ship also switch over at the same time, or will the ship stay on CEST? If it's a port day, almost certainly the switch will be same-day. But if you're fixing a pick-up time for a private excursion, you can ask Carnival (sadly my experience of cruise line head-offices is that they know B.A. about logistics ), or check out the port's schedule on the 'net, or preferably tell the tour operators of the complication & they can check out arrival time locally. Tour operators who deal with cruise ships are pretty switched-on about such things.:) JB :)
CruiserBruce Posted February 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2013 I agree, some research on the Carnival board would be helpful. Personally, I would expect ship's time to match local time, but Carnival has always been less than consistent on this.
