Review of Valor 5/29/05

Boy, I am glad that the OP was a couple weeks past me on the cruise. If I had seen them on my trip on th 5.15 Valor, I might be tempted to take my fat self on the elevator to find and throw the OP overboard.

But I TOLD you, I don't ride the elevator...so your "fat self" wouldn't have found me. And you might have had to find the gym otherwise... Oh wow! I went there! YES!

Can you imagine what would happen to someone who was thrown overboard? During the cruise the mildest waves were four foot high swells. Pretty hard to survive a fall and then manage the current. I guess that makes you a sociopath.

Wow, what the hell were you doing on Carnival??

Someone who hates so many different types of people and thinks that they are better than all should have been on Princess or Cunard.

You are what makes every other country think that Americans on the whole are arrogant a$$e$.

BTW, I didn't ride the elevators and I walked the stairs. But since I am "fat" I must have according to your observations.

And yes, I can imagine what would happen to someone who was thrown overboard.

if you survived the fall you would have hit the water with the impact of jumping from a 15 story office building

the force of impact would be like hitting a cement pad and pretty much every bone in your body would shatter

if by some slim chance hit the water at the perfect angle and were able to dive into the water, only your arms would be broken and you would struggle

to stay afloat with just your legs

then if you didn't die from the hypothermia, the sharks would find you and have a feast (but not a big feast because you aren't "fat")

Sociopath maybe but a arrogant ass - nope!

You have some serious issues, dude....I'm at a loss for things to say...and you have a pretty sick mind. Maybe people like you should not be allowed near any railing above any significant drop, or where you could push someone in front of a train, or bus, or...wow! You are certainly depraved.

And someone did fall from that height last year. It was a jumper that lost quite a deal in the casino. they rescued him, but he was in such bad shape he had to me medivaced to a mainland hospital. Is that the sort of scenario that makes you happy? It frightens me.

I think you need some counseling. try this site: http://counsellingresource.com/index.shtml.

Wolfsrun,

I really enjoyed your review. I was on the May 1 Valor and was on the boat shortly after 12:00. I think I would have freaked out if I had to wait until 1:30.

You are not the first to venture into the lazy people on elevators issue. And everytime, you get the one or two people with medical conditions who think you are talking directly to them. In fact, you even stated "the fat and lazy people", not once did you say the people with medical conditions.

People, chill out. If you really need to use the elevator for what ever reason turn your attention to the truly lazy people who are preventing you from getting an elevator as quickly as possible because they truly are too lazy to walk up or down one or two decks and not the people who just state a pet peeve. You know damn well the lazy ones are the majority and it's not like he threatened to throw them overboard, like others in this thread.

We wanted to get to Carlos and Charlies, but didn't have the time. My wife and I were out for most of the day on two dives, so by the time we got back (and shopped a bit) we only had time to join the crew (some of whom we made friends with) at Fat Tuesdays. Fat tuesdays (mostly because the crew is so cool) was full of people dancing and having a great time. The DJ was okay, but nutty enough that the floor was hopping. A lot of people really wanted to get that drunk guy off the pole (including the DJ who kept screaming at him - as well as the rest of the crowd) but no one could budge him...he was very large, very drunk, and borderline belligerant if anyone approached.

I've heard from other friends, however, that getting out of the cruise ship port and rolling into Coz proper is the way to go. C&C and Sr. Frogs are supposedly very cool, and are even more wild after the families leave.

OMG that is horrible. I hope she is ok  I don't remember anyone signing any shirts but I will eventually post my pics.

I still haven't had the chance to read your review....

She is fine. We did get to see the rest of deck 0 on the way to the infirmary - which is bigger than some hospitals! The staff of doctors and nurses on board can do everything from x-rays to surgery. Pretty amazing.

Post your pictures. I am sure we saw you any number of times in one small step.

E.
