Anyone here ever cruise Jubilee to Mexican Riviera?

Recommended Posts

Since I've been hanging around here the past couple of weeks, I've learned the Jubilee has been retired from CCL. I don't see much about it on here..but since she was my first voyage, is there anyone else here that cruised her?

Our first cruise was on the Jubilee doing the Western Caribbean in Dec. 2001. Our second cruise was on Jubilee in Feb. 2004 in the Southern Caribbean,, then she went to Australia!! What a great ship at an affordable price!

Twice on the Mex Riv run. First cruise ever 17 Dec. 1995. Then again in June 1997. I still have the Capers from both those cruises! Plus the Carnival 1996-1997 brochure. The prices are lower today than in that brochure.

We were on the innagural sailing of the Jubiliee, I believe in 1986? OK, it was the 2nd sailing, but I guess the 1st for "normal folk" so they still called it the "innagural sailing". It cruised the Carribean then, eastern one week and western the next. We loved it so much, we booked it for the next year as soon as we came home.....same room too! They had great sail away partys in those days!

She was our first too!! :) We did the Western Caribbean from Galveston in November 2002. Everything about that ship from the cruise director to our room steward to our waiter in the dining room made us fall in love with cruising!!:D

She was my first cruise in May of '03, the 5 day Western Caribbean. I was really sad to see her go, but I would LOVE to sail out of Australia. And from the pictures I have seen of her recently, they did a great job of her "facelift".

I still remember the CD everytime he said her name.....Jubileeeeeeeeeeeee

We had a British chap.....Dave Armor. I truly enjoyed his sense of humor. Had him again for the Jubilee Hawaii cruise. He didn't go over so well with the old f@rt$.

Our first cruise, we sailed her 1/6/1996 on our honeymoon to the Mexican Riviera. We had a blast and have been cruising ever sence. We have been on newer and bigger ships but their will always be somthing about your first ship. When we got off at the end of the cruise I looked over at my wife she was crying. I said what is wrong I just had the time of my life. She said " I do not want to go home ".

My 2nd cruise was on the Jubilee to the Mexican Riviera over Christmas week 1990. I still remember my grandma missing Christmas dinner because we couldn't drag her out of the casino!!! Cruised the Jubilee again in January 2004 to the Southern Caribbean. What a great "little" ship.
