meinnj4 Posted February 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2013 My last cruise I earned it on the first night, i'm not a big drinker but enjoyed a few cocktails in the casino the rest of the cruise. I booked our next cruise for 3/31 under the casino rate and am supposed to have $150 casino credit. I am now hearing about people getting the cards upon boarding as well as fruit/cheese in their staterooms, is there a way to know in advance if you qualify for this or is it a surprise when you board? RWolver672 Posted February 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2013 Yes. Contact Mike Bayona who is the Lead Casino VIP Coordinator. His phone number is 1-866-672-2582 Extension 70367. Have your booking number and he can tell you exactly what you will be getting. Our upcoming cruise is booked under the casino rate with casino cash. He told me that under the casino rate, that was all we qualified for. Maybe you will luck out and get more. It's worth the call to find out. If you had 5000 points on your last cruise you pre-qualify for the drink card.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted February 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2013 Would they have the drink card for a 5 night cruise on the Fascination?
lady_cruiser Posted February 17, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 17, 2013 If you had 5000 points on your last cruise you pre-qualify for the drink card. How does this work? Is it 1 point for every dollar spent in the casino or is it figured a different way?
popsec Posted February 17, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2013 How does this work? Is it 1 point for every dollar spent in the casino or is it figured a different way? It's 1 point for every $2.50 through the machine (this takes into account money won and played, not just what comes directly out of your wallet)

Now I wish I had placed my card in the slots when I did play on the Conquest and Magic :).
RWolver672 Posted February 18, 2013 #11 Share Posted February 18, 2013 If you had 5000 points on your last cruise you pre-qualify for the drink card. To get the card on a 7 night cruise at 1000 points you get $10 in free casino play. At 1500 you get the card. I believe it's less for a shorter cruise if it's available on that cruise. I didn't know that until we boarded the Magic in December. Casino host was quick to introduce himself and give me the card. I was giddy and asked why I'd gotten it. Before the week was over, I made sure I had enough points to get one in April, too. But that last day in the casino when I was trying to get to 5,000 points proved to be my best day and I left with a nice chunk 'o change. :D
