Cruisig out of TAMPA questions

We just got our docs for a cruise out of Tampa, July 4th on the Inspiration.

 

How much is a taxi from the airport to the port cost? Are they easy to get?

 

After the cruise we don't fly out until 4pm. I was thinking of doing the Tampa City Tour with Transfers with Carnival. Has anyone done this? What was it like?

 

If we don't do the tour is there a place to keep our luggage while we hang out in the Aquarium and around the port?

I can only answer your first question. Taxis are a flat $20 from airport to port, and there are always plenty lined up. Follow signs for ground transportation and you'll be fine.

I live just north of Tampa and I've seen on previous threads that there is a place to store your luggage when you disembark the ship. I'm sure anyone in the terminal could provide you with the location. You could do the Aquarium and have lunch at Channelside area. There's restaurants (Hooters, Bennigan's, Ice Cream Shop, Movie Theater, Bowling alley, etc) right there alot of people spend their time before and after cruises there. I'm leaving on the Miracle the day before you, so have fun and enjoy....

For an extra $2, the taxi driver will stop at the Publix grocery store and let you get your sodas to take on board. Saves carrying them on the plane!
