Charge for transfer to airport using Oceanian air?

New to Oceania. We are taking 3 cruises next year, b2b2b. On our invoice for the last cruise we being charged $99/person for transfer from ship to airport, even though we are using Oceania air. Is this normal? We have 15 cruises with Crystal and have never been charged for a ride to airport if using their air program. Just want clarification as to policy. Thanks in advance.

Yes,this is normal.. O air does not include transfers. You can usually do much better on your own.

Well, Yes AND No.

 

Although Oceania does not include them in the cost of your cruise, Transfers are sold as an add on to those passengers who prefer that the Cruise Line should handle absolutely everything (and there are plenty of those people out there).

 

Obviously, whoever set up your travel arrangements opted to buy that Oceania transfer.

If you are taking Oceania air and staying in a hotel booked by Oceania for at least one night the price of transfer is included..from airport to hotel and hotel to ship..that why hotel price sometimes looks so high..

No we will not be staying the night, just flying home after cruise. On all other cruise lines I have sail on that is why you do the air with the cruise line so they get you where you need to be without the extra charge. Anyway, no biggy, just looking forward to our first cruise on Marina May 2014. First cruise with Oceania on the Regatta Seattle to Seattle June 2. Can not wait!
