mrsfuzzmo Posted February 27, 2013 #76 Share Posted February 27, 2013 I know people have been saying all mixers are included, would this definitely include red bull for a red bull and vodka? I don't beleive so because it's canned. I believe the mixers are those that come out of the gun.
Clarea Posted February 28, 2013 #77 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Can anyone confirm whether glasses of champagne are included in the premium drink package, thanks. Yes, champagne is included in both packages under the umbrella of "house wine".
dread_pirate Posted February 28, 2013 #78 Share Posted February 28, 2013 A slight detour if no one minds - the "classic package" says it includes non-alcoholic cocktails. Does that include frozen non-alcoholic, like virgin pina coladas?
Mim Lloyd Posted February 28, 2013 #79 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Yes, champagne is included in both packages under the umbrella of "house wine". Can you get champagne by the glass at all bars or just in the champagne bar?

Neither package can be shared or transferred to another guest. The Coca-Cola® freestyle machine requires the souvenir cup provided with the purchase of our Unlimited Fountain Soda package; fountain sodas are provided in cups or glasses based on the venue. The drink of the day is available as part of the package, if served in a normal cup or glass. Guests may purchase the souvenir glass, and drink, at current bar pricing. Clarea Posted February 28, 2013 #82 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Can you get champagne by the glass at all bars or just in the champagne bar? Anywere wine is served. Is it proper Champagne or is it just house sparkling wine/cava ??... ooh I do like my Champagne so I've got my fingers crossed here :D Royal is purposely non-specific when it comes to definining the term "house". My guess is that it will be whatever is the cheapest they have onboard.
jakenashleysmom Posted February 28, 2013 #83 Share Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) Is it proper Champagne or is it just house sparkling wine/cava ??... ooh I do like my Champagne so I've got my fingers crossed here :D the "champagne" offered was Chateau St Michelle, same stuff they offer at the captains gala, and crown and anchor parties. not great, not horrible...we drank it often with dinner because the house wine offerings were horrible. chardonnay, merlot, cab, white zin......and they WERE horrible LOL! the white zin was berringer at least, and we decided that the merlot was the least offensive of the house swill. we even had the bar server asking us if we wanted the "house swill" with dinner by the end of our nine days! When you sign up for the package, you are given a list with what is included and what is not included and it is ship specific according to what they have in stock and what they actually paid for each particular liquor...this is from the beverage manager. Right in black and white, it said all beers except for Fosters Oil Can. Edited February 28, 2013 by jakenashleysmom

4merlurker Posted February 28, 2013 #85 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Yes, from what I have heard. A slight detour if no one minds - the "classic package" says it includes non-alcoholic cocktails. Does that include frozen non-alcoholic, like virgin pina coladas? I don't think so although some have reported otherwise. The premium package specifically lists FROZEN drinks as included. The classic doesn't mention anything about FROZEN drinks....

jhannen Posted February 28, 2013 #87 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Hi All, We just got off the Oasis and I had the Premium package. My DW did not get it as she didn't feel like she would drink enough liquor and we brought 2 bottles of wine with us for her dinner. We had our teen kids with us so I got around the "everyone in the cabin must purchase the package" restriction by having one adult and one child in each cabin and buying the package online prior to boarding. They can't sell it to a minor. :) Then when we boarded I just had the sea passes re-keyed to the correct rooms and we were set. As to the question about cognac, I was able to get a Courvoisier XO at dinner. Additionally, there was only one port choice available (don't recall the brand but it was labeled at $6) despite the Graham's 6 Grape only being $6, it was not included in the package. Since I'm not normally a vodka or tequila drinker, I didn't bump up against some of those limits. I would agree with most other posters, did I "break even?" Its probably a wash, but I would definitely do it again as I enjoyed my cruise more knowing I could try some new drinks and not worry about my bar bill. Admit it, its always at the back of your mind unless you make alot more than most of us do.
nivek82 Posted February 28, 2013 #88 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Did anyone that bought this onboard have to pay tax on top of the 55per day? From what I can tell it might be better to decide then but tax on top of this would make a difference.
ParrotHeadCruiser1 Posted February 28, 2013 #89 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Tax is included in the $55.00 Response from someone at RCI Corporate of the image below....***HOWEVER***...there has been questions about whether each column represents a progressive scale...and are all those scales included?? HeadingSouth Posted March 3, 2013 #95 Share Posted March 3, 2013 I read somewhere that if you purchased it prior to sailing, then you had a special 'glass/cup' in your room when you boarded. If you bought on day 1 then you didn't get the glass....is this true? Has anyone had any experience with it? Great feedback so far though....I'm definitely leaning towards it. Mim Lloyd Posted March 3, 2013 #96 Share Posted March 3, 2013 I've searched threads and looked at some drinks menus but I can't see how much a shot of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum or a shot of Absolute vodka is at a bar on ship. Anyone know?

Desert Cruizers Posted March 3, 2013 #98 Share Posted March 3, 2013 I looked into possibly buying not the higher priced package but $45 and found out it has to be purchased by all in the stateoom. That wouldn't be helfpul since I don't drink and DH drinks beer. He couldn't drink enough to make it worthwhile.
nonibop Posted March 3, 2013 #99 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Rccl in uk charging gratuities on top of price. Say gratuity not in price but at price quoted would mean exchange rate of $1.32ish! I'll wait and pay on board using obc and take bank rate on cc. Even if pound continues to drop can't see it dropping that low. PDF on same page states clearly $ 55 inc grats. Uk customers again being shafted.
