First Timers Bahamas Opinion

Just back from CCL Magic- and have to say that from where we stand, we are not drawn back to this itinerary. We might go back and stay at a resort like Taino Beach... but our limited time did not allow us to be exposed to any of the "charm" factor of the place. We did not book an excursion but tried to do a little bit off the beaten path- and liked a few things, but really not impressed with Freeport in particular. I think there is a very open space for a "different" type of cultural excursion on these islands that's not based on Senor Frog's or shopping. There's a lot of beaches here in the States that are pretty... guess I will have to find a good Bahamian guide family if we go back. JMO

Freeport is on Grand Bahama Island --- NOT to be missed is a 1/2 day spent at Gold Rock Beach - National Protected Park -- people really need to research more --- it's only 30 min drive with private tour -- don't know how long with busses of cruise pax

 

we always go to tripadvisor.com and look and see what gets the high ratings from travelers! Don't google the pictures - you will kick yourself! LOL
