Discodaisy Posted February 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Our family really enjoyed our Christmas cruise ( depart Sydney on radiance). Just noticed there is a 2 night voyager in Nov 2013. Would just be me and little miss 5 due to husband's work. Will this cruise be full of hens/bucks night groups etc? What are other families experiences of samplers cruises? Rare 1025cruise Posted February 23, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Not sure if its the same in Australia, but for the US based cruises, the shorter cruises tend to attract more "party until its over" folks than the longer cruises.
SadieN Posted February 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I would think a 2day cruise, especially over a weekend, would attract the Party-Hearty crowd. But I have been on 3day party cruises and have always been able to find a quiet spot away from the madness.
rebeccalouiseagain Posted February 23, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Go- your little one will have more fun that you. There is a great youth program, nice little shopping mall, etc. You'll have fun. Just as on land, I don't expose my child to drinking, on a cruise you can avoid the places where drinkers congregate. Have fun!:)
m_duck Posted February 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2013 We were on the Independence a couple of years ago for a 2 night sampler from Southampton to Le Havre. There were a few stag and hen parties and there was more of a party / weekend feel to the cruise. It did have a different vibe to a longer cruise and we had a great time. We have booked to go on the Adventure of the Seas this May for 2 nights, again to Le Havre and we will have our 18 month old with us. I've actually booked the previous 2 night cruise in May for my stag do. I've never really been into the whole stag do nights out and used to hate going for long weekends to various eastern European cities to spend time in strip clubs. I know we will have a few drinks but being on the ship we'll be in the English style pub, the casino and nightclub. Hopefully all fairly tame stuff. The last cruise we were on with a a stag do they had a James Bond theme, they all looked very smart in the evening.
