I'm far from being a expert and I do not know a thing about this port but living in the Napa Valley, I know this is always the case here. If wine is offered at a hotel it is doing so with the main purpose of selling the wine they pour. So, do hope that is the case on your tour.

We took this tour in 2011. The wine tasting is held in at the end of the tour to the lakes. It is held in a large room with chairs around the edges of the room. Tables in the middle of the room held bread and cheese. Wine was at other tables. Really was not what I expected. I liked some of the wine but not others. Wine was available for purchase. You then had the option of walking back to the ship through the town and shops or taking the bus back. I wish you better weather than we had.....rainy, windy day.
