Change Travel Agent question

You probably could but it would not be beneficial to either of you

 

Just book your next cruise with the new TA

 

It most certainly could be beneficial if they are giving OBC and PPG etc..which the OP did not get with the initial booking. It could amount to a good sum.

LHT is correct about this situation.

 

It is possible that the booking could be switched, but if we are talking about "after final payment" then the COMMISSION would not follow it, so Agen't #2 would be unlikely offer any "goodies".

Thanks for the responses.

 

The reason we asked is that on the final payment to O our TA added a transfer of almost $400 which we had not requested. In fact we had a conversation with her about our intent to use private transfers.

 

We immediately sent an e-mail to her last night requesting a credit by O to our credit card and are awaiting her response. Of course, we told her we were not happy with the way the booking has been handled.

Aha. Assuming you are not leaving in the next day or so the transfers are refundable at this point so you should get that back.

 

I had an agent who would always add the transfers which I would then have to remind them to remove ($240 for a $50 cab ride in BCN is crazy). However that agent would always email me for approval a week before final payment was due of the details and to confirm that they would process the payment a day or so early.

Just have your TA remove the charges no need to switch TA's for that

You can always use another TA in the future if you are not happy with this one
