NanaJulie Posted March 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2013 I am going on the Carnival Liberty out of Miami in a few weeks. Can anyone tell me what is the best time to get on the ship for not waiting in line. Some people say they got right on and some say it was at least an hour wait. Thanks for the info. cruisedirect2 Posted March 6, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2013 The last 3 cruises out of Miami, one being the Liberty, we got to port about 10:30am with no wait to get our sail & sign cards. They starting calling zones about 11:30 and the line was only about 10 minutes because of taking the customary boarding pictures.
Homosassa Posted March 6, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2013 On our Liberty cruise in January, we were on board ship by noon. However, one week later, we didn't get off the ship until 11:30 AM and we were about in the middle of the numbers to leave. We have no idea what the hold up was. ready2cruzagain Posted March 6, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2013 Whenever we board in Miami we usually arrive at the port at 10:30am. On the ship by 11:00 to 11:30:D

If your objective is to minimize wait time in lines, then I would suggest the opposite of what people have posted so far. Get to the ship around 2:15 p.m. (for a 4 p.m. sail time). You can be aboard 15 minutes after you arrive if your paperwork is in order. I've arrived as late as three with no problems, but that was cutting it a bit close.
