Clarea Posted March 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Or do they have to be paid for in cash or with a separate credit card? If you book excursions while on board the ship, they are charged to your on board account. If you book excursions before the cruise, then your credit card is charged immediately. DM_KidAtHeart Posted March 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Reserve before hand - pay with a credit card Get once on the ship - charge to your on-board account - how you settle that is up to you

Very Frequent Flyer Posted March 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2013 I prefer reserving everything before hand, shore excursion, MTD, specialty restaurants, beverage packages, etc. For me, the on board account is only used for buying souvenirs and other incidentals. That way, you have most of your plans organised and can spend more time enjoying the shop's activities instead of frantically planning for them once on board. Unless you happen to have OBC...then some prefer to wait and use it towards the extras once onboard ;)

1cat4jan Posted March 10, 2013 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2013 If you wait until you get on board, excursion times may be filled up. If you have OBC, you will find something to use it for. Having some OBC to pay for our drinks was really nice.
