Carnival Elation

I have a wedding to attend on the Elation Jan 2014. The last old boat I cruised was the triumph and it was in bad condition. It was so bad that DH and I almost cancelled a cruise on the carnival magic (newer cruiseship)...but we were convinced otherwise.

Who has cruised this ship recently? Has anyone stayed in the family ocean views...we are a family of 5? I'm being convinced to do an oceanview instead of the grand suite....to minimize costs...I really don't want to sail this ship..just worried it's gonna be like the triumph.

There are no 'family ocean view' cabins on this class of ship - just ocean view. This is what your inside/ocean view will look like with five:

The Ocean Suite only sleeps three. With very narrow balcony. Not worth the money. Grand Suite has a double couch, I suppose you could get a rollaway for #5. EM
