Clarea Posted March 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2013 Where would you recommend snorkeling at Nassau,CocoCay or Key West? On Coco Cay, there is a reef to the left of where the lifeguard towers are located. You have to swim out between the rocks, and the current can be stronger there, but there is much more to see. Sometimes the current is so strong that the lifeguards will stop you from going out there.
bouhunter Posted March 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2013 If it fits your schedule, Floriday's charter in KW is great!
A Pisces Posted March 13, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2013 I've snorkeled in all 3 places, and it can be great, depending on the weather and the spot. You can't go wrong in any of those ports. :)
DM_KidAtHeart Posted March 13, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2013 The necessary long swim out at Cococay made it too hard for me to get to good snorkeling there. Did the cheap ship tour (less than $30) for snorkeling at Nassau though and it was really great.
sunnysavannah Posted March 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2013 We love snorkeling at Coco Cay. Very convenient to be able to do it at will off the beach. Haven't done the others.

Just head in to the water, and enjoy!:) Actually, you are required to rent a snorkel vest at Coco Cay even if you have your own mask and fins, but it only costs about $6. If you can make it out to the lightguard stands, the fish are amazing. So many, they were just bumping into us. There are some sunken cannons and an airplane too.
