crew pay when ship is broken

Does anyone 'know' what happens to the crew when a ship is broken, like one of the Carnival ships? I assume they still get paid but is there any allowance for the tips they don't get or are they just out of luck?

I think they are out of luck. Companies don't seem to care much about employees these days.

I would think that they are out of luck. Do you think your local restaurant/hotel pays it's help if they have to close for a time to make repairs?

You are correct. They lose that revenue. And unlike US employees, the gratuities make up nearly 40% of their pay.

In my tip based summer job, tips account for 75% of my income. Just a friendly reminder to always tip your tour guide.:o Especially if you are in Niagara Falls.:p

I think they are going to get there set pay of X $ a week but nothing other than that. Its whatever the contract states .
