Crazy question..

Browsing around looking for a last minute & cheap 5 or 7 day for the 4 of us for Spring Break week (1st week of April).. My question is.. where is the best place to check prices? Is any website better than Carnival? I will most likely book 2 rooms, and on Carnival website, I can't see the prices for both rooms before I book the first one. Like I said, just browsing and getting prices, don't want to commit to book right this minute. Also, what are the chances the prices will get any cheaper closer to sail date? Some folks call me crazy for even looking at Carnival with all the issues Carnival has had lately, but hey, they are the cheapest of all of them! Been on 5 so far and had no problems! I will take my chances! Thanks in advance!

Last time I was shopping for a cruise, I was able to "hold" my cabin for 24 hours while I confirmed with my cruisemate that we wanted a room. This was on the carnival website. Can you do that to get the price of one and then check the price of another?

If its two different kinds of cabins, I would write down the price or open two windows so I could go back and forth. I often have 3 or 4 or even more windows open when I am checking hotels or whatever too.

Any site is the same price, as in public no one can ADVERTISE lower prices in public (though in private some do discount).

Nobody can discount the prices posted on carnival.com , so might as well book there..

That isn't really true, the agency we have used gives a discount with points from prior booking and everyone I refer gets points to start and a discount. It isn't big and not on all cabins but minium is usually $35 a person. I guess they just take it out of their agencies profit.
