New on Costa, Questions Please.

Hi,

 

If we decide not to buy tours on line from Costa. Can we change our minds on board? Can we buy tours from Costa on board?

 

Has anyone done disembarkation at Savona port and took ship's shuttle to Nice,

Cote D'Azur, airport? At white time did you reach airport? Need approximate time not exact to the minute.L.O.L.

 

Are Tags for suitcases picked-up at Port or will they be mailed to us?

Costa excursions can be requested once on board no problem. Don't wait too long though because the more popular excursions frequently get sold out. I can't answer your airport question, but luggage tags will be included in your cruise documents that you should receive a week of so before departure. You'll have to staple or tape them together and wrap them on your luggage handles before you check them in at the cruise terminal.

Airport allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the transfer. At Savona there are plenty of transfer buses that Costa put on but make sure it drops you off at the right terminal as our last cruise they dropped us of at the wrong one and it added 2o minutes to find the shuttle to the other terminal.

Costa trips are not cheap , wait till you are onboard and ask the bar/casino staff about where to go.

Tags print them off, selotape to bags.

you do not mention which port you are going too as this will help with the repies

Thank you for your reply, we took Costa shuttle from Nice airport to Savona.

 

On our return, we also took the shuttle to Nice's airport because that's their only drop off for Nice.We are not flying home right away.We are doing a post cruise in Nice, have rented an apartment and the owner of the apartment would like the time of our arrival, to hand over keys etc.This is why we were asking how long it might take to arrive in Nice airport.

For the tags, can we just use the see through tags we usually use for travelling?

When flying, one usually needs a destination address. In case of baggage lost( hope not) it will be easier to trace. Thank you:)
