mellowrose Posted March 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2013 Has anyone recently done the Valley Isle Road to Hana? There is abit of a price difference compared to Roberts, wondering if it is worth it. I did do a search but no postings came up since 2008. Thanks! Rare genealogyfan Posted March 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2013 I've recommended it many times and others have too - maybe there is an issue with the search function. Here's the site http://www.tourmaui.com/ Took it last April - highly recommend, had 12 people on the bus, the tour guide was great, and big comfortable seats. Saw lots of great sites and better then driving ourselves on this windy sometimes one lane road. The guide would also point out great places to take pictures. They provided drinks and a great lunch of chicken, macaroni salad and salad instead of a box lunch. Lots of stops.

TSUmom Posted March 22, 2013 #7 Share Posted March 22, 2013 We just used them in September and they were wonderful - it is a long day but the van was very comfortable and we stopped plenty of times to get pictures and stretch our legs - oh, and we stopped and bought some wonderful banana bread along the way too!!! How long was the tour including pick up and return to pier.Have a great weekend. Many thanks Their communciation was great! Emailed me detail pictures of where at the port they would be meeting us! Yes all day long but worth it, stopped for lots of photos, swim in the black sand beach, see the sacred seven falls and the National Park and on the back side of the mountain we stopped at a winery that made wine out of pineapples, very sweet but still a fun experience! Oh yea and the lunch they packed for us was great!

DaisyGoldberg Posted April 3, 2013 #11 Share Posted April 3, 2013 We used them last May and highly recommend them. Very professional, very comfortable little coach which is invaluable on such a long drive. All the tour companies tend to congregate at the various stops along the way, so the overall itinerary probably doesn't vary that much from company to company. I can only vouch for the clean and comfortable ride of Valley Isle, though. It's a long day -- choose comfort! You meet the coach outside the gate -- not too far a walk from the ship. You just pass through a gate and they're waiting outside. Sit on the left if seats are available there.
