Do "free" extra nights count toward C&A status?

On their first cruise my DIL and husband ended up with a 9 night cruise instead of 7 night because of a hurricane back in 2004. They have completed 4 more 7 night cruises. Shouldn't they now have 30 points and be Platinum for their next cruise?

I doubt any credit will be given but they can check with RC.

In 2004 they counted cruises not days at sea. When the conversion to days was made a formual was used.

 

So short answer is it would have no change.

I believe that first cruise would have been worth 8 points after the conversion to cruise night. You can check on the website and see how they figured things out, but I'm guessing you have 29 points.

Any cruise prior to January 12, 2011 received 1 cruise credit. If any of their cruises were in a JS cabin after 1/1/2004 they received an extra cruise credit.

 

Remember, 1 cruise point for each night sailed (double for JS or above) was awarded for any cruise taken after January 12, 2011.
