We are sailing on princess shortly. Called ocean players club and they told me I will have some free dollars in the casino. I have no record of this do I just go to the cash cage and tell them I am supposed to get cash? Not sure of the protocol. What do I do?

Yes, the first night (or sometime during your cruise) just go tto the casino cage and tell them you were told by the club that you would have casino cash waiting. They will ask for your card for id and they will check it off their list and give it to you. Easy Peasy

I've never had them not have a record of what they claimed I would get. Did you phone them or email them (it can be done both ways) If the offer came in an email then take a copy, if not then I can get you the email address of guy in charge of the players club and you could email him asking for a email confirmation of the amount that you could take with you.

But so far I have not had a case where they told me I would have something and didn't get it.

Hi, I am an MLife Platinum Member. My aunt took 20 of us on a cruise on Royal Carribbean. As an MLlife platimum member you are entitled to a free 5 day cruise. Instead of opting for a cruise, which I knew I wouldn't take this year, they promised me money instead, stating that:) all I would have to do was go to the cage and they would have a letter stating this. 3 days before the cruise I called to confirm that I would receive the money, it took 2 hours to confirm this. When I arrived on the cruise and went to the cage, they told me they did not receive the letter and did not know what I was talking about. Three days later this was straightened out because I made them send a letter to the casino supervisor. So take my advice and make sure the casino supervisor confirms this prior to going on your cruise. Have fun!!

I've been a Princess cruiser the last few cruises and will continue with them. I'll not only agree with sailor jim but go a bit further.

Before our last cruise, I bought "casino cash as a gift" over the phone and got an immediate email confirming. I also called the players club and was told the amount of money they would be giving me. When we got into our cabin, the vouchers for the "gift cash" were waiting for me - nothing from the players club. I took the vouchers to the cage and when I presented my cruise card, they said they had the club money for me also - I didn't even have to mention it! The rest of what I had been promised - strawberries, etc. was delivered by our steward soon afterward.

Later in the cruise, we got a surprise bottle of wine at dinner and some comped drinks at the tables. Not "all you can drink for free" but a reasonable number.

In sum, Princess may not be the most generous when it comes to casino comps - for that see NCL - but I've found them to be up front and honest.

Andy, you are so right. We did the same thing. When we went to cash in our casino credits, they gave me our free cash. Hubby hit a four of a kind on let it ride, so we invested quite a bit on that cruise. We now get about double the free cash we got on this last cruise when we sail in sept.
