Any tolls from Hobby to Galveston?

will be renting a car to travel from Hobby to Galveston prior to our cruise. I called the rental company to ask about toll roads but couldn't seem to get a straight answer. They just told me I could add the pass for $10 a day. Is this necessary, are there any tolls from Hobby? We will be in Galveston for a few days prior to the cruise then back to the airport after. Was hoping we can avoid any tolls.

There are no tolls from Hobby (HOU) to Galveston down I-45. There is a toll road that you can use from IAH to Galveston, but there are also several totally free highways to get from IAH to Galveston.

I,m backing up the other poster. There are absolutely NO TOLLS between Hobby Airport (it's located south of Houston proper) and anywhere near Galveston or the ships. Enjoy!

It's only about a 30 min. drive to Hobby from Galveston.
