Our family is considering getting a Royal Suite on FOS for a cruise in the fall.:D Can anyone please tell me all the perks that come with a Royal Suite? This will help us decide if it is worth the extra money.

A grand piano? :)

We looked into getting the RS for the Explorer of the Seas and were quoted about $20k for 4 adults. As I understand the room layout though, there's only one "bedroom" -- the other people get the queen-sized sofabed.

This review http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=52004 has a good description of the room. A review from June 2012, however, suggests that you don't get any additional "perks" over any other suite: http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=105570

I had the RS on Monarch for her final RCI voyage. There was a bottle of Moet champagne on ice waiting for us, we were escorted onto the ship by an officer, the room service cover charge between midnight and 5 am was waived, a dozen roses were delivered to the room, free pressing of formal night clothes for the first formal night (you had to give what you wanted pressed to your cabin attendant the first night), and there was a bar drink menu you could order from for delivery to your Royal Suite. Suite guests can order off the main dining room menu during hours that the main dining room is open. Since Monarch didn't have a Chops or Portofino's, I don't know if you could also order from there for delivery to your RS.
