We are doing cruisetour KB6 in June. It seems that the excursions on the pre-cruise portion are all sold out. Will there be independent tours available from the Princess lodges? We enjoy relaxing, but are hoping to do more.

Don't wait to find out what's available. Right now you can request a refund of the Natural History Tour and book yourself onto the NPS shuttle to Eielson so that you can see Denali NP.

Sorry, no, from the lodges you HAVE to book through Princess. If you get outside the lodges, and know WHAT tour you want, there may be independent options. BUT you are going to be limited without your own transportation.

 

You need to determine, what tour, first.

We did a Princess CruiseTour and did not want the Natural History Tour. The Tundra Wilderness Tour was full. We canceled the tour and got a refund for that tour. We called Aramak, I think it was, and booked thru them. They came and picked us and other people up at the Princess Lodge. It was an 8 hour tour. It was worth it for sure. I do not know prices as that was in 2008.

If you Google Aramak ( not sure of spelling) and Denali you will get them.

"independent" tours for Denali park??? You can do some walking and pick up a few independent tours for rafting.

Budget Queen, I was talking about tours/activities from the Princess lodges. The Tundra tour is from 8-5, so that day is covered. We are also doing the all day Glacier Tour in Copper River, but many other things are totally booked. If not, we will just enjoy the beauty of Alaska.
