Armchairtravelwoman Posted April 27, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2013 Maybe we have more experience with whether jeans can be worn in the dining room rather than dinner jackets? Ha ha, sorry I cant answer your question either!

Rare Scrapnana Posted April 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2013 I know nothing about men's clothing but here are some answers from Mr. Google. http://www.ask.com/question/when-is-it-appropriate-to-wear-a-white-dinner-jacket http://www.menswearhouse.com/shop/ContentAttachmentView_-1_12751_12001__85067__AllAbtWhiteDinnerJacket.html http://wiki.answers.com/Q/When_should_you_wear_a_white_dinner_jacket http://etiquette-guide.com/white-dinner-jacket-etiquette/ General consensus seems to be they are ok on cruises. Hoyaheel Posted April 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Personally, I would say no. The Adriatic isn't tropical and October isn't the summer season where an off-white dinner jacket would be the appropriate choice. However, if that's what he has and that's what he wants to wear, well, it's better than jeans in the MDR, right?
sailorwife Posted April 28, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Thank You, I was not sure as we have only cruised in the Carribean and Hawaii, so no White Dinner Jacket to pack,
LindaM Posted April 29, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 29, 2013 We are going to be in the Adriatic and Black Sea in Oct. When we have cruised in mid to late Sept. in Europe, I tend to choose more "fall" type clothes. I get away from summer brights and whites! Do you know what the temps will be???
