ozarkmama Posted April 30, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Can we go though the embarkation, leave our luggage and then go back to OSJ? If so, how early can we drop off our luggage? We don't sail till 8:30. Thanks
Sheal Posted April 30, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2013 You can do that. I would get to the ship around 12 or so to ensure that the crowd of departing guests has thinned down. Be sure to keep an on on the weather, during Hurricane Irene in 2011 a few ships left the port early leaving guests behind. Not likely to happen but something to consider. M&M Hayden Posted April 30, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Can we go though the embarkation, leave our luggage and then go back to OSJ? If so, how early can we drop off our luggage? We don't sail till 8:30. Thanks Last time we sailed out of San Juan muster was EARLY. We didn't sail until 8:30 or 9, but muster was at 4:45. We were to the port by 10:30, on board shortly after 11......also you will be at the Pan American pier across the bay from OSJ.
CPT Trips Posted April 30, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Did the have a make up muster? Hard to imagine them requiring people to board 4+ hours before sail away.

We fly in the night before so we have all day. Thinking we can sleep in, check out late morning, drop off the luggage and go see OSJ. It's either that or drop off the luggage at Barrachina's and that doesn't sound like it's very secure.

Do you mean that when you leave the ship, OSJ is not right there to explore? I've sailed from San Juan and had port stops there in the past and the pier was right there in town. Barwick Cruiser Posted April 30, 2013 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Sailed on the Summit from SJ in Feb 2013. Muster was at 7:45pm and sailaway at 8:30. We were Select Dining and I made a reservation online ahead of time for 6pm so we'd be finished before muster and could go straight to sailaway. All worked out fine! We had a great cruise....enjoy:)
