cruisesusie Posted May 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2013 What is the best way to get to L.A. airport from San Pedro? Would rather not take the cruise line transfer. Are cabs available? Thanks, Susan

Thanks, Susan The cab ride can be over an hour depending on traffic . Expect to pay somewhere between $70 and $100+ for a cab. Maybe arrange for a limo or some other transfer service. NW Pacific Posted May 12, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Hopefully someone from LAX area will respond for updated prices. But we have used taxi from Port to Lax a few years ago and it took 20 minutes, this was a Sat morning and cost less that $50.00. We have since used Shuttle service from LAX to San Pedro Hotel, took 45 min, cost $32.00 I think you can make reservations with Prime time or Super Shutte to pick you up at the Port going to LAX for $16.00 pp. We used a taxi several yrs. ago because we had a flight before noon. SadieN Posted May 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2013 Traffic in Los Angeles is a crapshoot. I've expereinced clear freeways during rushhour and standstills on a Sunday morning. Sometimes there isn't anything reported on the radio or CHP. (Favorite reported one was the freeway was closed because of a bank robbery. The police were doing a car by car search.) The ranges you've been given are spot on. For an idea use taxifarefinder.com We've used it for NYC and Oakland and it has been a good barometer for an approximate fare. mitoscooldude Posted May 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2013 Just last week we used Super Shuttle, $17 per person and 25 minutes at 5pm.
Rare Keith1010 Posted May 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2013 You have a range of choices. As mentioned there is Super Shuttle. We use a private car service with Execucar and they are a subsidiary of Super Shuttle. Web sites are: http://www.supershuttle.com and http://www.execucar.com Keith
