East meets west

Just looking for info for the EAST MEETS WEST specialty restaurant on the Sun. Is it basically Cagneys with another name? Or something completely different? Can anyone compare the two? Thx

Yep just a different name same menu

Exactly the same. We ate there last week - they're using the new menu.

 

You didn't ask but I'll volunteer - We did 4 specialty restaurants and East Meets West was our least favorite. I doubt we would eat there again.

I agree with the previous poster. I didn't think East meets West was anything special. Didn't compare at all with the steakhouse on the CCL cruise we took in Feb.

La Cucina on the Sun was awesome. We have done this restaurant on 5 NCL ships and the one on the Sun in terms of ambience and service was over the top. East meets West was just OK.

Ditto. We sailed last month and out of our 4 different specialty restaurants, East Meets West is the only one I would not go back to. I've had better steak in Carnival's normal dining room. Il Adagio, on the other hand, was fabulous - and also takes the place of Cagney's for breakfast and lunch for suite guests.
