Rare Lois R Posted May 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2013 Doing my first solo cruise on Breakaway in August. Any advise? Hi, I see you have been posting to some other threads:) My first suggestion though, see if there is a roll call started for your cruise. It is a really nice way to meet other people on the same sailing:) You had replied to one of my postings too;)....and you want to hear (read) something funny? I am thinking about sailing to Bermuda the same day as you, just on a different ship! I haven't booked yet... still trying to decide between that one and a couple of other sailings. Hope you have a wonderful time:D

Any suggestions on things to do in Bermuda? Margie Hi Margie, depends on what you like to do really. The Bermuda forum is REALLY good with lots of help:) I can tell you what I will be doing......I am going to take the Ferry to Hamilton one day....walk around Hamilton and have lunch at the Hog Penny on Front Street. It is supposed to be really good.:) Then I am going to take the bus to Horseshoe Bay for a couple of hours and then either 1)take the bus back to the ship or 2) take the bus back to Hamilton and ride the Ferry back. The other day I am taking the ferry to St George and will go to Crystal Caves.....then I just found out about a High Tea at the Perfumery......it is supposed to be really nice and only 24.00 per person. I am not sure which day it is though...so if it Wed I will do this first and Hamilton on Thursday.......if it is on Thursday I will do Hamilton first and St George on Thursday. I have an email in to the folks who do it. Anyway, then after the Tea I am going to THE SWIZZLE INN for a drink:D and then I will go back to the ship. Here is a thread about the TEA..........start at post #45 for a review there are some nice pictures too! http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1628751&highlight=tea+in+st+george&page=3 Of course there are other beaches and stuff for folks who love snorkeling and things. Everyone has their own likes/dislikes, etc. Check the Bermuda forum too:)

The Bermuda forum is REALLY good with lots of help:) Hi Lois, I have been looking every day most of the postings are made by groups of friends and or family. I'm also interested in going to Hamilton and St. George, and the bus ride to Horseshoe bay. Would you recommend getting excursion now or on ship? Thanks for the great information, that swizzle inn sounds good as well. :) Margie

Thanks for the great information, that swizzle inn sounds good as well. :) Margie Most of the postings? You mean over on the Bermuda forum? It doesn't matter who is asking questions....families, groups, solos.... If you have a specific question about Bermuda you can start a thread......I did that too:D....I don't care if groups/families have questions......makes no difference to me. As for an excursion? If there is something specific you want? And you want to book it through the cruiseline? I don't know how NCL works......if it is available? Go for it..I have never sailed NCL. I am sure there will be spots open if you want to book on board the ship. I am not going on any excursions.....what I posted earlier? I am going on my own. My roll call is slow....if it picks up? I will throw it out there and ask if anyone wants to join me.....if not, it is ok with me too. It is easy to meet people on the ship too:)
