Vagabondib Posted May 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2013 We are looking to cruise with teenagers near the end of July. We are used to warmer cruises and the kids like to lay out in the sun or use the pool. We do too. Will it be warm enough in July. We are stopping in Halifax, St. Johns, Sydney and Portland Maine. If it is too cold to do lay out what is there to do on sea days?

jean s Posted May 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2013 When you are referring to eastern Canada I assume you mean New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. I travel to those provinces often and the summer weather is warm and comfortable. It is not overwhelmingly hot, just pleasant. We do go to the beach but you may find the water a little chilly. nybumpkin Posted May 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2013 We've done the Canada cruise a number of times, in both July and August. On a couple of those cruises you would have sworn you were in the Caribbean and not the North Atlantic, based on the use of the Lido deck. The weather really was nice. We've had some not-so-nice weather as well - 3 years ago we sailed with Hurricane Earl to Canada. We still did fine with indoor activities.
