Thanks again Gambee for your countless hours in putting together this STELLAR review!!!

After having tried RCCL a couple of times, they are my hands down winner too. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Princess for their food mind you (you'll have to try them sometime). But, for family time (which is most important for me now), RCCL takes it every time for me. I will likely never take another Carnival cruise again. Aside from all the troubles they've had, they are just a sub-par line at best. Great for your 20's when you want to travel cheap and spend your money on booze. :D But, hopefully, your experience on the Breeze will be better. It is a newer ship with more dining options.

So, thanks for your insight! The Getaway will be my very first NCL cruise and I was hoping that NCL ranked higher on your list than X (I've never done them). Since you ranked it second to RCCL, I have a feeling I will enjoy it too.

I'll be on the July 19th sailing next year, I hope that's the one you will be on! :D

Gambee, thank you SO MUCH for posting such an amazing, comprehensive review! I have been to Bermuda 4 times on cruises and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Bermuda is my favorite port to date. Your photos and descriptions of everything in Bermuda are so detailed, it's an amazing planning tool!!

I will be reading your Sky review next, since I'm trying her out for a 4 night cruise on this coming Monday. But I will be sailing on the Breakaway in February and this review has gotten me sooooo excited! The ship really does look beautiful. I just hope the whole smoke situation from the casino into the lobby isn't THAT noticeable.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL OF THE WORK YOU DID ON THIS REVIEW! Best I've ever read. :)

She is a good camera, I think by far the best point and shoot camera ever produced. But I am still uncertain if I want to ditch my NEX for her. It simply does not compare to the nex, mainly because of the sensor type and size. I guess it comes with the size factor of the camera. I am planning to do a photo shoot on July 14 if the weather cooperates. I will post the pictures on Facebook.

No no no!!! Don't talk about another camera. I loved your pictures so much I went and bought the nex-f3. Lol!

Amazing review! Thanks so much for the great pictures and videos. I am now considering the Breakaway for next summer and it wasn't on my radar before coming across your review. Thanks again for all the work you put into this. Really inspiring.

Gambee, I appreciate all you've done--so very much, but I think you missed a question I posted back a bit. Did the aft-facing balcony cabins come with bathrobes?

No, unless you are in a suite.

However, if you ask nicely, as we did, your cabin steward will bring them for you as ours did if they are available.

For our past 3 cruises with NCL, one in a balcony, twice in mini-suites, there were bathrobes in the closet. If there are not there, you can ask for them. The room stewards are usually more than happy to accommodate any reasonable requests.

Gambee,

I just booked the 7/14 Breakaway with my wife (3 kids at home) and you caught me up in an hour what others have been learning for several months. Oh and I am only at page 41...

Cheers!

mdwcruises: You're welcome, much more to come.

janetz: Nice to see you again, thank you =)

smileysmiley: Well hello there, it's been a while, just kidding. Glad you found me =). I have tons of pics from Bermuda and all with wonderful weather!

Sarah: Glad you agree, this is a much better way to respond.

sdmike: Awesome, Thank you =)

godiva830: Sorry I don't have much info on Heaven other than word of mouth, ill be more than glad to share that as the review goes by. But just so you know, everything I heard was good things. I missed the tour of Heaven, it was done at a really bad time and I much rather be in Bermuda exploring that day.

topanga49er: cool thank you.

joand452: I know right a B2B would be great!

psycomac: I knew this would work much better =)

spidybabe: You're so very welcome, hope you enjoy.

sapphire2810: Glad to have aboard, thank you for joining =)

island2island: Awesome, thank you so much for adding info. That is always appreciated =)

Gershep: On this review I took much less notes, I am mostly relying on visual aid to help me trigger memories. I relaxed much more on this cruise than any other I been on. A free cruise sounds great :D. lol

KrystalWaters: Hello old friend, welcome aboard =). Thank you for joining.

Renzulli2618: I have it all lol, well not all. But I have a lot of info and I cant wait to share it :).

janeyzee: Thanks for the info, I am ready for the sticker shock .

fivegirl: Yes I did, and actually getting that info is when I had a horrible moment with a rude employee. He was the reason my cruise got of to a rough start, it took a lot to recover from that. Ill get into the details of that later, but overall NCL needs to be more careful about who they put on customer service area. I will post the full print of the info later on, but in summary food and beverage closes at 7 and the tubs at 11pm. But it says that it is up to the staff to change the hours, I think they are still adjusting to the new ship.

English101: Well, hello there. I was wondering were you where, lol. Welcome aboard!

BSR: Glad you like it, much more to come :)

mzpastrychef: thank you for your kind words, we will see what the future has ahead for me =). Thank you for being a part of this.

Gambrel

Is there a way to just get your review without everyone's comments?

Gambee ~~~~~thank u so much for doing the awesome review. Do u remember the name of the cat u sailed on for the snorkel trip? Do you remember the name of the "pink shack" to purchase trip tickets from?

Is anyone taking a sunset trip? We would like to.

My husband and I will b taking a day trip to Grotto Bay Resort while we r on the island in order to properly celebrate our 25th anniversary of our honeymoon in Bermuda.

Thanks so much for all the amazing photos and all the details! I just spent about 6 hours reading it, so I can only imagine how long it took to do it. Know that it was very appreciated! I loved seeing all the breakaway souvenirs in the gift shop. Thief rules on jewellery on the water slides seems a bit ridiculous but I will be sure to take all of it off before riding. I also appreciate you posting all the dailies so I can plan exactly what I want to do. Can anyone who has been on later tell me if they got a free tote bag and if they gave out lanyards?

I just went to Staples n purchased a lanyard and plastic see-thru case for room key. Could also carry $ in it for casinos or tips.

So glad someone asked that question - I now have your blog bookmarked so I can go back and revisit the Allure review. You sure work hard on all of this, and I for one am very grateful!

The pink shack is located by the ferry entrance. It will be on your left when you are walking towards the Dockyard. It is hard to miss.

We are sailing to Bermuda from Cape Liberty, NJ October 20, 2013 on Explorer of the Seas. We have taken 3 cruises in October and one in April and always have left from Miami, Cape Canaveral, and San Diego. We were wondering what the weather will be like in NJ in October and in Bermuda. Will it still be warm enough to swim and snorkel in Bermuda. Also will it be to cold to get in the pools on the ship during our journey.

Thanks for any information.

Cruised twice in Oct to Bermuda and the weather is certainly warm enough to go to the beach and enjoy the water. The water heats up through the summer so it's still quite warm in Oct. The weather in Oct in the NE can be quite cool but you can feel it getting warmer as you travel south and cooler as you cruise north on the last sea day. But the pools and hot tubs were still enjoyable.

Keep in mind that the pools are heated, as are the water slides.

After reading to your embarkation and following pics, I stopped and will be back for more.

I have read so many Live reviews but this is the best ever. I cannot believe your level of detail, quality of pictures and content.

I cannot imagine the time it takes for you to provide all of this!

Thank you and I will also go back and read your other reviews.

Loved NYC-one of my favorite cities even though we live in Florida.

Thanks so much! I will keep reading but this is up to 54 pages and I have only made it to #16!

Been years since I've been on an NCL cruise but have impression that there are many more extra fee restaurants than most lines. Is this true?

I would say about double from your standard cruise line.
