Actually, there has been a lot of GREAT advice on this thread--Darci--you seem to have the best & most rounded experiences!

We love the 10+ nighters for so many reasons--mostly the comfort and the lack of kids! However, we have always had the best group---we make it that way! I go with a positive atitude & No-one, I mean No-One is gonna spoil my trip but me! If you look for trouble, it's there!

I have sailed with older folks that were pains in the a$$ & younger folks that were slobs & pigs! Did it ruin MY cruise---NOT!!!

okay so I complained about the "ols folks " on my last cruise on one of the threads. My husband and myself are mid forties and believe age is relative as you get older. We met and enjoyed the company of many older than us.... However we did have some problem with certain"old farts". Like my half senile mother, this group was fixated about the most insignificant things... The walkers never bothered us, nor the already skinny halls made even smaller by the wheelchairs left outside their cabin door...But try to sit through a meal next to them drove us nuts!!!!(For exp: the group was arguing about which island was the nicest...until a younger daughter in the group(60ish) piped in and said to them "what do you know none of you have ever even gotten off the ship to see the islands",, then they proceeded to argue with her how much you could tell about an island from the deck!!) I like to enjoy my vacations and this group, like my mother, could always find something to bicker about..it was and elderly mentation going on..Janineo
