Earliest flight time out of San Francisco?

We are currently looking at a 12:45 pm flight out of San Francisco. Is this flight too early?

 

How far is the airport from the ship dock?

We had a 12:15 flight and made it with time to spare. We received RED 1 luggage tags and were the first called. The ride to the airport was about 45 minutes. We were dropped off at our terminal, did self check-in and went to the gate. Plenty of time to have a cup of coffee and read the paper.

Do be aware that the San Francisco pier is probably the worst organized. We arrived there in May and it took over two hours to get everyone off the Dawn Princess. We were sailing on to Vancouver so didn't get off until the last of the departing passengers and it was after 11:00. Perhaps it was because that sailing was one of the first of the season and they were just getting their "sea legs", hopefully they have sorted things out by now. I would be sure to be amongst the first off the ship and would take a taxi, not wait for the ship's bus to fill up.
