I am in the process of booking a private tour in Hanoi (Halong Bay) for our port stop on Dec. 7th, 2013. Since we will need to use a tender to get asore, I need to know the name of the port where the tender drops off and picks up passengers.

Thank you for assisting me in this matter.

Hi tskaar

In Feb the itinerary stated this as a tender port -however we docked and there was a short shuttle ride which dropped off at a market area

One crew member told me they always are docked and didn't know why it would be listed otherwise

Hello Tracey and Wendy & David -

Here is an update:

We will likely dock at Cai Lan Port (Halong Bay), a 20 minute drive from the city:

01 Cai Lan Street Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City.

Final port confirmation usually happens 48 hours prior.

If there is more information forthcoming then I will share it with you on this thread.

We look forward to welcoming all of you onboard!

Best regards,

Bill Leiber
