Beijing/Xian cruise tour questions

We are looking at possibly doing a Bangkok to Beijing cruise with a cruise tour added at the end. Has anyone done this cruise with the Beijing to Xian tour? Did you get enough time at the sites? How was Xian, flights, hotels?

Any info will help in the decision process. Thanks

Take a look at this but also look at a Viking River cruise from Beijing-to-Shanghai to see if the timing works. Several people took one in the opposite direction pre-cruise for our Diamond Beijing-to-Whittier cruise last month. You'll see a LOT more and the pricing might not be much more.

We did this last year and loved every minute. Warriors are the highlite make every effort to see them. Hotels, flights etc were great. Everything taken care of. We have completed several land tours with Princess, yet found this to be the best so far. Enjoy

We did a land tour with Princess (after our cruise ended) that included Xian. It was our first and only land tour booked through Princess and it was excellent. We got enough time at all of the sites.

This this was our best cruise ever. Beijing and Xian were amazing. Yes it was a little rushed, but not that bad, but we saw so much. Highly recommended.

Our group of 24 worked with a private tour operator. We were collected at the ship at the end of the tour and taken to all the top sites around Beijing for 3days and stayed at the 5 star JW Marriot. On the night of day 3, we hopped a plane and flew to Xian to visit the warriors on the 4th day (stayed at the 4-star Shangri-la Golden Flower there). After that we flew back to Beijing and stayed at the Marriot again, headed for home the next day.We decided on the 4 day package, most of the group continued on the Yangste river cruise (8 day tour). Yes there was plenty of time at all the attractions, and everything was beautifully explained. Highlights of the tour for me was climbing the Great Wall (to the first tower ) and seeing the terracotta warriors.
