dminear60 Posted June 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2013 We are sailing on the Carnival Conquest in August. This will be our first cruise so we do not know what to expect. What is there to do on the days we are at sea?
Socref124 Posted June 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2013 We are sailing on the Carnival Conquest in August. This will be our first cruise so we do not know what to expect. What is there to do on the days we are at sea? Sea days are good to relax. We usually go to the Lido Deck and lay around the pool to people watch. There will be different activities going on at the Lido Deck and all around the ship. Check your Funtimes, apaper placed in your cabin each night, to find out if there are acivities you would like to see or participate in. You will want to see the Love/Marriage show. It is usually hilarious at the answers from the guests participating.
firefly333 Posted June 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2013 I like to look for dance classes. Im not much for trivia or singing. Mixology contest. Towel folding class. Hairy chest contest, Bean Bag throwing stuff like that at the pool.

Lovefuninthesun Posted June 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Yay -- good for you! Sea days are my favorite! Relax, relax, relax! Nice lazy breakfast in the main dining room (not the buffet), walk around the ship, LOTS of people-watching and Drink of the Day (DOD) on the Lido Deck, ice scupture demos, art auctions, specials in the gift shops, movies on the big screen Relaxed lunch. More of the same. Sometimes special shows or offerings in the lounges or theater. Nap on deck or in the cabin. Ice cream cone from the machine on Lido. Cocktails before dinner. Have a blast! T. Advisor King Posted June 13, 2013 #9 Share Posted June 13, 2013 I like a moderate mix of sea days with port days, although if I had to pick one over the other, I'd pick 7 port days over 7 sea days. I don't get into the contrived activities, although some people enjoy them. I mentioned the activity schedule to my sister-in-law once and she said, "sounds like the activities at my dad's care facility". To a certain extent, I agree. I don't go on a cruise to "be entertained" or "kept busy". Indeed, it is quite the opposite. Anyway, I like to sit in a lounge chair in the sun and relax. Read a little, sometimes play games with my family. If it is your first cruise, you can consume hours just exporing the ship. Have fun. If you enjoy it, great. Not everybody does.
