Maasdam dry dock

I have hward the Maasdam will be in drydock until Jan 17. What does this consist of and is it a good idea to book a cruise immediatly after it returns to service?

If you have an itinerary that you have to sail on than yes, I would sail right after dry dock. If it is one that you can sail on multiple occasions, I would not sail right after dry dock. We have never had any major issues right after dry dock but it is possible.

According to copper in previous post there is no major changes on this drydock so should be fine. We are booked for 21 days starting Jan 17.

We are booked on the Maasdam for 70 days following her dry dock .... leave Jan 17, 2014 assuming everything will be nice and clean and tidy... ready to give us her usual great cruise experience. Crew will be ready to spoil us ... and I am all for that.:)

I think a problem comes when there has been a makeover of a ship in dry dock. If it is a routine drydock that should not be a problem.
