HazeGray Posted June 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2013 The last time we were in Athens, the Metro did no run all the way to the Acropolis due to construcion. We had to get off and walk to the next station. In lieu of that, we walked up the back side of Acropolis which proved to be a nice walk. Does the Metro now run all the way to the Acropolis? texancruzer Posted June 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2013 You have two options.....get off at Monistriki and walk up the back (thats what we did) or change lines and continue on to Akropoli station which will take you to the front. There is no one line that goes all the way to the front entrance. If I remember correctly its green then red.

There was construction on the Green line a couple of years ago but it has wrapped up. (The line didn't add any new stops, they were just doing maintenance work.) As Texancruzer says, you can stay on the Green line to Monastiraki and reach the Acropolis that way OR you can transfer and go to the Akropoli station, which is somewhat of an easier walk.
