We have also reserved with Avis Goldbelt location & they told us that they would pick us at the dock...saves time & beats walking 1.5 miles if weather is nasty. We arranged this directly with employee at this lcation.

Amalga Harbor, a few miles north of the Shrine of Saint Therese, is one of our favorite stops.

 

Totally agree...make a stop at Amalga Harbor. We drove to it on a whim and it was beautiful. Just a mile or so off the main highway. It is a public boat launch. There were eagles everywhere and the chum salmon were jumping everywhere in the harbor. Just offshore was a gill netter hauling in salmon.
