Rare steamboats Posted June 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2013 High water is causing an itinerary change for the American Queen´s cruises starting July 5th and 13th. According to AQSC due to severe downpours in the Midwest they have to change the itinerary of the above cruises which were scheduled on the Upper Mississippi river (St. Louis - St. Paul and reverse). Now the July 5th cruise is going from St. Louis to Cincinnati. The July 13th cruise from Cincinnati to St. Louis. Ports will be Chester/IL, Cape Girardeau/MO, Paducah/KY, Henderson/KY, Louisville/KY and Madison/IN. The July 4 precruise hotel stay in St. Louis remains as scheduled. The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza will now serve as the precruise hotel on July 12. Guests booked on both sailings have the option to rebook a 2013 cruise with no additional fee or stay on their altered itinerary and receive a $500 future cruise credit per stateroom. Howellmc Posted June 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2013 I was wondering if that would happen. They have been getting rained on pretty good out that way. Interesting though I haven't been contacted yet as I am on the 7/13 trip. I'm sure I'll hear soon.
