Carnival sent me a check - They are honest!

Recommended Posts

Someone else posted a similar thread several weeks ago but I couldn't find it. We were on the Liberty in April and went to the casino one night. I thought that the money that we had left over went back onto our S and card but evidently it doesn't.

I only put in twenty dollars and can play a quarter at time for a while. I tend to be frugal in the casino. My husband plays a little more but nothing extravagant. We were done when his balance went down to zero and I was excited to finish with a ten dollar credit. I thought that ten dollars for playing for an hour wasn't too bad a deal. We left the casino and thought that they would put my balance on my S and S.

Today I received a check from Carnival for the amount of my casino balance which was about ten dollars. I am very impressed with their honesty. They get a bad rep for so many things tso I wanted to put something positive out there that they did. Thanks Carnival.

My husband got a check about a month ago for $20 from our April cruise. He was sure that he withdrew all of his money on the last night. We were very surprised!

I had a similar thing happen to me. Before my first cruise, I ordered a Bon Voyage gift set for $45: four beers, a cooler, a glass mug, and a Carnival hat. (This set has been discontinued since then.) It was waiting for me in the cabin when I got there. But it was missing the glass mug. I wanted to go to Guest Services to complain, but didn't get around to it. I must have been so happy to be on a cruise that I didn't care, or I felt like I had more exciting things to worry about, or I don't know.

I returned from my cruise, and pretty much forgot about the mug. When I got the previous month's credit card bill, I noticed a $7 refund from Carnival Cruise Line. I knew I cashed out the entire unused OBC, so I called their 800- number listed on the statement, to find out what the deal is. The person who answered the phone said that it was a refund for a missing item in a Bon Voyage gift set I ordered.

Nice gesture, Carnival. Looks like they took it upon themselves to refund me the difference for the missing item. They're not without flaws, but I'll give them credit for honesty. I still have the hat and the cooler.
