Weather in Norway in August

Anyone travelled to Norway in August - what should we expect to wear when leaving the ship - sailing from Southampton so can take extra luggage if coats needed.

Looks like coats and jumpers may be needed - thank you

We did Celebrity Equinox from Southampton to Norway in the August. No coats or jumpers were needed. Rained a bit on one of the days though.

I would take the coats and jumpers since you can because you're not flying. Better to have and not need than need and not have.

Norway's farther north than Scotland. From an ex-pat Scot, nuff said. :D

 

By the way, Norway is absolutely beautiful so you should have a wonderful time whether or not the coats come out of the suitcase. Enjoy. :)

Weather in Norway can be terrific in August, but it can also be cold. Which cities will you visit? Bergen? Stavanger? Flam? Bring your umbrella, wind jacket, thick sweater and long pants. But also take with you some summer clothes. It can be anywhere from 50 to 78 fahrenheit And lots of wind. ;)
